MATTHEW KEEVY

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Corporate finance, analytical, adaptability

Matthew qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2017 after completing his articles with KPMG in Johannesburg. His articles were completed in the Energy and Natural Resources division.

He then spent just more than three years enhancing operational efficiency for a group in the automotive industry. Here he developed expertise in owner-led and family businesses that have exposure to local and international markets. Before joining Arbor Capital in 2025, Matthew honed his skills in M&A, valuations, and financial due diligence during his time spent at Mazars Corporate Finance and FTI Consulting.

Matthew has worked across diverse business functions, including finance, sales and marketing, operations and strategic negotiations. He is passionate about helping businesses unlock value through tailored solutions. With a focus on M&A activity, Matthew is always on the look-out for compelling investment opportunities.

Daniel Nell CPA (SA)

EXECUTIVE

Corporate Finance, Deal Execution, Stakeholder Management

During articles at VNW&W (today part of PwC), Daniel gained M&A experience, successfully negotiating various acquisitions and concluding corporate finance activities on behalf of clients. He later established an investment holding firm, partnering with various private entrepreneurs, and successfully concluded various acquisitions in the chemical, motor industry, short-term insurance, infrastructure, logistics and commercial property sectors.
Daniel also served on several of the investee companies’ boards in various capacities ranging from Chairman, CEO and CFO over a period spanning more than 30 years. This provided him with extensive experience in business management, strategic decision making, mergers and acquisitions, finance, and corporate affairs.
Since 2011, Daniel has been an integral part of the Arbor Capital Corporate Finance team, where he acts as a transaction advisor focusing on M&A activity.

Willie Snyman CA (SA)

Chief Financial Officer

Corporate Finance, Business Reporting (measurement) and Business Optimisation

Willie studied at the University of Pretoria and obtained a B.Com (Hons) degree in 1988 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. After serving articles at Ernst & Young and practising there for several years, Willie established an auditing practice in 1997, which was later sold into SNG Grant Thornton. In 1997, he established a successful consultancy business that procures government incentives for clients, which was later merged into Arbor Capital. He previously owned a number of industrial businesses and is also currently serving as director on a number of Agriculture-related businesses in South Africa and Eswatini. Willie has a true entrepreneurial spirit and extensive experience in turning distressed businesses into sustainable ventures. He is also an approved executive with the JSE.

Marcel Hattingh PH.D.

Dr. Marcel Hattingh is a co-founder and CEO of CCI Professional – a consulting house that specialises in Industry 4 enabled human capital investment strategies. In addition to this role, he is also a co-founder of The Foundery, an executive member of Arbor Capital, and has continued to serve the Doxa Deo group in a leadership capacity since 2000. Before his current roles, Marcel co-pioneered the City Changers Institute (CCI) – a multi-disciplinary higher educational service provider, where he served as the Director. Marcel holds a structured and research-based Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University USA. With a core passion for creating sustainable organisations, his expertise ranges from mastery of leadership to organisational design, M&A human capital integration strategies, as well as various philosophical and spiritual fields. As a member of the Institute of Directors, Marcel continues to serve on various none- and full-profit boards, where he gained significant experience in governance level functioning. Marcel is certified with Xpand – a Northern European consultancy and a skilled neuro-leadership practitioner. Furthermore, he is licensed in AI meta-tools such as the NXTmove business analysis system and Shadowmatch.
